identifies a character associated with the passage.

identifies an allusion to another text.
subtype⚓︎ (subtype) provides a sub-categorization of the phenomenon is being noted in the passage, if needed

The subtype attribute may be used to provide any sub-classification for the element additional to that provided by its type attribute.
inst⚓︎ (instances) points to instances of the analysis or interpretation represented by the current element.
