When CIMI did Project CHIO:

• XML hadn't been invented (but SGML had)
• the CRM was in early stages of development
• even TEI was only at P3!

With the advent of P5, and the availability of a mature (ISO-candidate) CRM, now is an ideal time for CIDOC to work with TEI to develop a ‘museum’ component based on CRM concepts
