Manuscript Description in TEI P5

• <msDescription> may go in the header or the body
• <msDescription> has seven major subelements (identifier, heading, intellectual contents, physical description, history, modern bibliography, physical parts) (ordered and mostly optional)
• Most subelements have the content (p+ | (A, B, C, …))
• Additional in-line elements are available for use within paragraph content
• Attribute values are token lists, rather than CDATA, wherever possible
• Some content models and attribute declarations are currently incomplete, with PCDATA and CDATA placeholders
